Zeynep Sarikaya, MSc.

Clinical Psychologist Zeynep Sarikaya provides psychotherapy based on Person-Centered Psychotherapy approach, which is a humanistic approach, and also integrates techniques such as Expressive Arts Therapy and Mindfulness. She works with children, adolescents and adults. She is an Intermediate Level Experiential Play Therapy practitioner accredited by the American Play Therapy Association. She works with an attachment and mentalization-based intervention program called Nurture and Play (NaP©) and runs play groups for pregnant women, mothers-babies and families. She also provides parental counseling, divorce counseling, as well as, perinatal counseling for parents.

She carries out her work at DenSa Psychology, which she founded, located in the Kozyatagi region of Istanbul. She provides psychotherapy both online and face to face in two different languages, English and Turkish. In her clinical work, she is closely interested in perinatal mental health, adverse childhood experiences, attachment and behavioral problems.

In 2022, she contributed to the Turkish literature by taking part in the translation team of the Stress Reduction Workbook for Youth (Biegel, 2022), the 50th book of Psikonet Publications. In addition to her clinical work, she works as a part-time lecturer in the Psychology (English) undergraduate departments of both MEF University and Acibadem University where she is responsible for teaching Clinical Interviewing, Developmental Psychology and Play Therapy courses. After completing her undergraduate education as an honor student at Isik University Department of Psychology, she completed her master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Queen Mary University of London. She continues her doctoral studies in the Child-Adolescent sub-branch of Clinical Psychology department at Isik University.
